More to be excited about…

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

It was a great weekend.
A preseason Seahawk’s game with my brother, drinks with the boys, an all day saturday BBQ.
Tons to be happy about.
The icing on the cake was the book that I was patiently waiting for.

Yes, any book by Ali is something to be excited about. But this one is a bit more special [...]

new life is so cool…

Friday, August 29th, 2008

been having some GREAT moments lately. it’s been so great, that even yesterday’s: *1230am resting of the head* for the *345am alarm* for the *5am airport shift* was completely bearable. I didn’t have 1 single: *what the heck am I doing this for?* thought in my head!
I realize that this behavior could: *be the actual [...]

3 easy steps…

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

A while back I was talking to Karissa about my blog (which I know Ka! we still have to update- in addition to the other things/projects we’ve got planned ) and she mentioned that she wanted to read more about how I find what I see when looking thru the viewfinder. It’s been [...]

so much good going on…

Monday, August 25th, 2008

there’s been tons going on over in this neck of the woods. Namely, the return of Autumn and the famous Northwest Rain (which I really don’t want to talk anymore about).
It’s odd- it looks like its fall out but feels really muggy- a combination I am not sure I am very fond of…
The upside are [...]

goofballs!

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

Had a great time up at the cabin and spent the weekend laughing and eating yummy food.
My favorite game we play is who can tell the most true sounding story applicable to whatever given situation we’re in… the thing is we never announce that we are “playing” we just start making up stories….
And this was [...]

it was all worth it….

Friday, August 15th, 2008

all that hectic stuff of the other day was totally worth it. I ended up getting to spend the last part of the day on Lake Washington with the gang on jet skis… the sunset was one of the most incredible I’ve ever seen. One side of the sky was rich with oranges, reds, and pinks. and the [...]

make it stop!

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

How and why is it that things always are craziest when you just want it to be done?Is it so that we realize and remember the  utter goodness of PLAY and FREE TIME?!
I am profusely trying to cram stuff in- to meet deadlines and other stuff in order to Spend some time out on Lake [...]

on crows and minimal sleep…

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

I’m up early this morning- which is not typical of me. For some reason the brain decided that it was done sleeping
and that it needed to think about some projects that I’m working on.
Let see if I can describe this process: I’m sleeping soundly and comfortably. And then ever so slowly, the slightest tiniest notion [...]

looking back and (re)noticing…

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Over the past few days I’ve been looking back on some of my travels over the last year and a half. Particularly I’ve been looking at posts from Thailand and posts from the Philippines because I am in the beginning phases of planning another trip to both places (this time with a group of friends) [...]
