made it back safely from Tokyo and am now trying to fight off the jet lag. I so want to take a nap, but  don’t really feel like being in the twilight zone of time difference for the next week. Must stay awake! Must stay awake!

this has been such a good trip. so very, very good. And today, during our meanderings, it seemed that Ali, Ikuko, Tracy and I were taking our time to savor the goodness of it all. laughing and sharing and storytelling (can’t wait to scan the pictures of us in the Over the top Japanese photo booth. So Ali has been trying to convert me into this whole scrapbooking thing. I would like to think that this was all part of her master plan, to get me into making some of the (admittedly) cool things that she does.

T minus 3 hours and I’m awaiting my flight hanging out in the boardroom. Just finished sending out the last few business emails I needed to send and am going to grab a bite (No not sushi, silly!) and once I get some food in my belly- I’ll have a celebratory beer.

Touched down in Seattle last night after a few nights in: (you guessed it!) Bend, Or. (and as always it was a blast of a trip.)
I’ve got a few hours of regrouping, unpacking, laundry, going thru mail, and re-packing before a little gathering tonight.

In exactly 1 week I’m going to Japan to meet up with Ali to be her sidekick/Teaching Assistant while she’s teaching scrapbooking classes in Tokyo! How exciting is that?

That last friday I got to fly a Boeing 737 flight simulator. These things are incredible. they are massive boxes sitting on hydraulic lifts about 10-12 feet off of the ground. They can simulate take offs and landings at any airport and add any weather condition or mechanical situation. every detail of the cockpit was matched [...]
